WW II City battle - Iron Cross pt 2

Great game, rules were Iron cross which we all seem to be very happy with, Terrain boards are new and were created only last week at the Vic Outpost, figures are all 28mm miniatures and were provided by Rob and Matty.

Really good fun and plenty of laughs and just a good evening out.

Germans came on from both flanks, i was checked and pinned down but the breakthru came from the Village into the city, Americans put up a stiff resistance and it could of gone either way.

Victory for the germans - till next time.

I just picked up the Iron Cross rules this morning from the local hobby shop I'll have a read through them over the weekend. From the looks of your game they look to be okay!

Yea they are really good, you get a game finished in a evening and its not full of stats ect.. to get lost in a rulebook, the interuption rules works very well and its interesting to see a tank ect firing more than one shot in a turn.

Another part of the game i picked up on is when you got a small company, say 10 men running across the open, not all of the guys will fall under a MG, you got to have some lucky dice to knock them all out.How many black and white footage have you seen where men run across the open and make it under fire, quite a few, to many rules would completely knock a company out way to easy, i would of thought if you was heading directly towards a MG (wwi) you would fall but running in another direction you would have to spin the sights.

I really like these rules a couple of adjustments was in need (like most rules) but overall these rules have been playtested alot and it shows.
