Napoleonic miniatures museum, Prussians & Brits

Post by Gunner Dunbar » Tue Mar 22, 2016 12:50 pm

I have always wanted to make a 15mm Napoleonic miniature museum in a display cabinet in my home, but never got around to doing it, I am helping Erik a customer/friend of mine to do one for himself so I decided to start my own, however I am going to do an online museum, that can be a uniform resource for miniature collectors and wargamers, I am no Napoleonic expert, just an enthusiast with general knowledge, so I may very well make the odd mistake, fell free to let me know when I do, I plan to represent each uniform with a little vignette like then ones below, that will take some time, so in the mean time I will use old photos that aren't as nice and replace them as I get better ones, feel free to offer any ideas you may have, here are the first 3 entries, please follow this blog if you are interested in the Napoleonic period.
Hi guys

If anyone would like to contribute pictures to the museum, (happy to add or replace pictures) please contact me at dan.dunbar@hotmail.com
Would prefer
1) Accurate uniform depiction
2) good quality painting and photography
3) 4 pictures from different angles
4) based figures preferred, but not essential if the topic is not covered
5) will for me to crop/resize pictures when necessary

a link to your site and/or an acknowledgement will be given for your contributions.

Hi guys

A couple of more updates, please follow this blog if you like the Napoleonic era, I am trying to build a site with at least one entry for all the various uniforms of the era, for all wargamers/modellers to go for inspiration.

Hi guys

I am excited to announce I have 2 new contributors to the Museum, both excellent artists who will bring some class to the site, Paul Alba and Jacksarge, when I get time I will try and to add a heap of entries, but for starters I am adding Paul's awesome Prussian Leib Hussars.
please follow the blog
The idea is to have 1 post for each uniform type for the Napoleonic wars in 15mm (preferably) or 28mm, the post will be the best examples I can get my hands on, so I will replace current pictures with better ones when they come along, if you want to contribute email me at dan.dunbar@hotmail.com

Hi guys

Just did a heap of entries for the Prussians and Brits in the museum, Prussians painted by the master Paul Alba, and Brits by the equaly good Jacksarge, links to both their sites on the posts. If you would like to contribute, email me at dan.dunbar@hotmail.com the idea of the site is to have 1 entry (the best one at hand) for every uniform type.
