White Elephant swap meet

Postby Bluewillow » Tue Jun 22, 2010 4:52 pm

After a big discussion on at the clubmeet on the weekend we have decided to conduct a
"White Elephant Car Boot SALE"

24th of July , Saturday 10 am -3pm
8 Railway Parade Marulan .

Weather permitting..it will be quite cold but should be dry...

Bring a blanket or card table and all the stuff you are going to NEVER read, paint or play with and sell trade or swap with others of a like mind.

Discuss what you intend to bring or what you intend to pick up on this thread here so I can keep it all in one place
http://passageoflines.50.forumer.com/vi ... 220&p=6932

We can get 25 cars into the back yard at least, nore than that if we use the front yard as well.

A goodly distance between Canberra (1 hr 20 mins) and Sydney (1 hr 30mins) Nowra and the Gong (1hr and 30 mins)..sausage sizzle at the house and local eateries and cappacino are part of the general ambiance.

NO CHARGE to participate
so get a gang together..and head on up or sown to the highlands for a day out with the boys, and get that White Elephant out of your house!

cheers

Marulan put on the weather a barmy 12 degree day, not a single breeze blew by.

I for one had a great day out, lots of chatting and excited to see what everybody had to offer.

the final count, swapped two unpainted armies my Foundry medieval for 20mm ww2 stuff and WSS 28mm Front Rank, and my perry and conquest Indians for French 7Yw Dragoons, bought more 20mm ww2 and ancients from Mick and 20mm ww2 veh from Chris M, and a few books from the Cardinal, and sold my Babylonian chariot wars army that has been collecting dust for three years, and resisted some modern germans , all and all a good day hunting.

cheers
thanks guys!
