That's me!
Anyway, in any game where tanks are more vulnerable from side and rear hits but where there's some sort or reaction fire (I mean where you can shoot moving targets during your opponent's turn....as long as they're within a 45 degree arc or summat) then turret direction is a tactical decision, which adds to the game, I reckon. If you're playing Shermans going down the road to Arnham, or M4's passing villages on the way to Baghdad, it's also historically accurate. Don't you remember the Jeremy Clerkson programme where he pits his Range Rover against a tank? If a tank's trying to take a pot shot at a fast soft skin, you need it.

Anyway, they just look neat when you can turn them. It's aesthetic. Visual variety. There's something beautiful and very athletic-looking about a Valentine with it's turret at 45 degrees, just as there's something alien and very aggressive-looking about a Chally on point duty with its turret at 90 degrees.............oooooooh, I can feel a frisson just thinking about it.
