American War of Independence Campaign at Cancon???

Plush chairs, maps , light tables and sand trays, efficent WAAFs and crusty Admirals , curtained windows and scrambled phones...the place to talk about the annual big game and those sort of events...and all the recruiting and planning of such

Must be a "beauty in the eye of the beholder" thing. They have some shape to them unlike the half starved OG figs.

Interesting that you say most are better than OGs. I suppose putting up a list of figures to avoid at all costs would probably be out of the question.

well it is a subjective thing at the best of timesbut would take me a fair bit of time, something in short supply at the moment the FR French have an odd stance, odd muskets and no fixed bayonets...a bit sad looking inmho

Three weeks - the caster was away. Business is now back to normal. Actual postage time was 8 days. Not too bad. Just silly that they didnt have another caster arranged

If the French are going to be a major issue ie 34 fig battalions etc. would it be too much of a stretch to move your large battle to the Northern theatre. Give the option of say Brandywine, Germantown, Long Island etc

Moving North

Postby Captn Ewald » Sun Mar 30, 2008 8:23 pm

Hello Frosty,,,perhaps we can save the move north for another year...besides Germantown etc etc were all much larger engagements than any down south.
I am sure we can manage

blokes , lets get this up and running again, things have gone quiet and I think it behooves us to put on a spectacular game with fantastic ministures and gob smacking terrain..after showing the good PZ. the Troiani book I recently got from eBay...for a very cheap price, thank you mortage collapse in the US, and further thoughts myslef I am interested in getting this going..and possibly using the Kopf-Schlager field manual rules for a game or two...when I write them which is going to happen..i suggest K-S rules as they will look a lot mor e exciting than the poor old WRG, which even the players rarely understand , let a lone an observer...and anybody booked tables yet?...contacted Canberra yet?...maybe we should do it at Blue Willow's bash, when is that on Matt?

Captn Ewald

Captn, have you contacted the Cancon organiseres at this stage?

Cardinal Biggles

Postby Cardinal Biggles » Sun May 04, 2008 11:25 am

well perhaps though there have been some serious mutterings about WRG from some exalted exponents of it..imagine doing a nice historical re creation , all the trimmings and the rule completely scupper the feel of it..roll on the hordes of Raw shooting down all the brave veterans who are so many sitting ducks if they attack..pity that; very historical...NOT
