LTB 28mm Zulu war British (Empress Miniatures)

Post by Dropbear » Wed Feb 11, 2015 11:17 am

Does anyone have any 28mm Zulu War British from Empress Miniatures (Warlord games sell the same ones) that they would be interested in selling/trading?

I am especially after the Natal Carbineer figures, mounted and dismounted.

Or failing that, is anyone interested in sharing postage costs to get an order in from the UK.

Another long shot - does anyone sell these figures in Australia?

EDIT - removed the image and offer to buy the British officer figure, as I just ordered one. The offer to buy or swap those still mentioned stands though.

Thanks Mathew - I just cleared you out of the listed zulu war infantry sprues (all three of them) which will allow me to make my first unit of Victorian Colonial infantry :D

And thanks for the heads up on Elite Miniatures - I need to contact them as they don't add postage to the shopping cart, but it is good to know I can buy them here in Oz.

Hey Dropbear

I checked your Blog and you have a very nice selection of figures! They'll look marvellous painted up.

Looking at Victorian units of the time they like here in S.A. had quite a few uniform variations as they hadn't been standardised completely yet (looks like from 1885 red had basically become the go there too).

Cheers!

Thanks Darling (hehehe that never gets old)

I wanted to do something a little different in regards to units/uniforms to what you are doing so as not to be a 'copy cat from ballarat', and I wanted to make up my own units/detachments so as not to link them to any units serving today with linage to said historical units.

Thus why I chose the Natal Carbineers to form the base of my 'Gippsland Carbiniers'.

I just ordered my Hero figure and a pack of dismounted carbineers from Elite, so hopefully I can get them on display soon.. but having said that, I am away for almost all of March, so it might be a few months before I get them painted.
