New 28mm historical wargaming newsletter

Post by craigjwoodfield » Tue Dec 29, 2009 8:28 am

Size Matters is a brand new, free email newsletter on the subject of 28mm historical wargaming in Australia. The subject matter will not be limited to any particular period or rules set, the only criteria being that it is played with 28mm miniatures. So if you’re into 28mm ancients, medieval, renaissance, Napoleonic, American Civil War, Colonial, World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam or any other period, then Size Matters is for you.

Size Matters will contain industry news, previews, new releases, upcoming events, interviews, articles, scenarios and more. It will be distributed at least twice a month, with the first one due in early January.

Subscribe now by sending an email with ‘subscribe’ in the subject line to: sizemattersmagazine@iinet.net.au

And remember, everyone knows that size really does matter.

Sounds very interesting - any more information?

Who is putting it together? Can people submit articles?

How big will the newsletter be in kb/mb? (too big will be hard to download)

At the moment I am the Editor, though that may change. Contributors will be drawn from the usual suspects, and hopefully we will flush out some new people. Contributions welcomed, though no promises as to the eventual publication date. Keep them as brief as possible, a few hundred words, with links to Australian-based forums/websites for more detail preferred.

Finally, the newsletter will be in email-html format, so a few hundred k at most.

No bias towards rule sets, though we are unlikely to cover systems that are almost exclusively non-28mm (DBMM, for instance).

Cheers
