2018 Christmas - Hobby Related Gifts

Post by Captain Darling » Fri Dec 28, 2018 11:33 am

Okay for Christmas I scored some nice stuff including some cool designer socks!

Hobby related though I got;

Book The Secret Expidition by G V Uythoven
Book Th Fall of France by J Jackson
Book The Blitzkrieg Legend by K Frieser
Lock N Load ‘We Stand Alone’ scenario pack
And I have a few bucks in cash that’ll go toward my WW II 1/56 forces

Was a good haul this year! Anyone else score some good hobby related gifts?

Cheers

Very good Easy! Lucky man.

Looking at the mat and assuming a centimetre per square you’ve got some big vehicles there!

Does a print take much of the ‘product’?

Do you have a designs for any 1940 French tanks (I see an older FT 17 in the picture)?

The 'jeep' thing in the back is printed at roughly 28mm scale the rest are 20mm.

I have a file for the FT-17 that is naturally scaled for 1/72 - 20mm so no issues. I have downloaded or seen files for AMR35, H39, Char B, FCM2C (gosh) and S35 but nearly all are in 1/100 - 15mm or even 1/200 - 10mm scale so printing them out at 20mm means they will lack detail and some parts will look odd.

Thanks!

An FCM2C hmmm you’ll use a bit of plastic there.

I bought a 1/56 resin FCM36 from Mad Bob Miniatures, the original was a print (the top print lines are all removed but you can see them in the cast underneath along the running gear. The FCM36 is the coolest ‘Art Deco’ tank design, pretty average vehicle for action though.

I have a couple of FT17s from Trenchworx too.

Eventually I’ll pick up a couple more vehicles (Samoa and Hotchkis) too for CoC games.

If you had designs I’d happily have commissioned a test printed one from you.

Cheers!
