Sarissa Russian Church - What Paint Scheme?

Post by Captain Darling » Mon Aug 01, 2016 10:22 pm

Hey All,

I picked up the Sarissa Russian Church which I'm thinking of painting up as a regional village one. The period of use would be 1870s -1945. Would the exterior be white washed and smart looking with a golden onion dome or more wooden like the small example I found online (Sasha Boyers Blog)? Maybe up to until WW 1 would it be painted up better and maintained but with the Soviet take over it would become more run down? What are your thoughts/opinions? Sarissa paint scheme looks pretty wooden and bland...

Cheers!
