Clash at the Crossroads- Battlegroup Overlord game

Post by jacksarge » Sun Nov 16, 2014 11:31 am

We had a great game of Battlegroup Overlord yesterday- ticks lots of boxes for giving a great WW2 feel.
I have done something of a report on my blog, but include a few pictures here to give you an idea.

Sensational game - my period - my scale - need I say more. Love posts like this and the table is great. Was wondering the hills; are they self made or did you buy them from somewhere.
Once again very nice!

Cheers Chuckie, glad you enjoyed it :D
I made all the hills myself out of polystyrene, filler, pva, sand, flock & paint, (apart from that small rocky outcrop which I picked up from somewhere and re-painted).
I could do with making a stack more bocage, need loads for Normandy.

Thanks mate for letting me know. The reason I asked was to do with one of the (well there was a few) photo of the ravine type set on on the dirt road. It is actually an inspirational photo as it leaves one to their imagination for an ambush type scenario. And with the bocage it is a treat. I could just see myself having hours of fun with that set up. Would like an idiots guide (thats me) for the hill tuition.

Once again cheers!

Great looking game mate. Nice to see the Battlegroup rules being used. I have not had a chance yet, but hope to in the new year.

Thanks for posting.

regards
Mathew
