A German CO with Character?

Postby oozeboss » Tue May 02, 2017 8:03 pm

I know it's kind of perverse, but I have always had a bit of a leaning towards fielding commanders which are not exactly the heroic stereotype. Witness the figure I am using to command for my American Armored platoon:

So can anybody please recommend a similarly idiosyncratic 28mm scale figure which could be used as the Leutnant or Oberleutnant of my late war Panzer Grenadier platoon? I'm looking for anything not too gung-ho, heroic, or even all that normal - as was certainly the case with this individual (sans greatcoat - and OK, I do know that he was only an Oberfeldwebel in a Luftwaffe prison camp):

Many thanks.

There's lots of cool German officers to be had...

I like The Artizan character ones...

I like your direction on this one - always good to have personality. I try, but in 20mm not so easy! Nice post idea!

Love the Xmas Truce set, and am looking at getting them for my 1940 Floor Show (as I am doing both German and BEF/ Home Guard platoons). And speaking Croweater expat to Croweater, Captain Darling, I'm sure you'll appreciate the allure of Fritz biting into a hunk of fritz.

The search appears to be nearing resolution, but it will involve a head swap and stacking on quite a bit of equipment. I will post here when done.
