I WROTE THREE OF THEM!

Postby Mal wright » Fri Jan 06, 2017 10:05 pm

Whew! Its been a while since I was free enough to come on line in a sort of relaxed format. I eventually wrote three books on British and Commonwealth Warship Camouflage WWII and they have now all been published by Seaforth books in conjunction with Pen and Sword and the US Naval Institute Press. It was a hell of a job putting it all together. Counting the illustrations I have saved for my next book...or two....I completed over 3,000 colour illustrations in three years. Is it any wonder I am knackered and taking a break?
I'm happy to report that all of them were best sellers. But book 2 on battleships, broke the company record by having to be reprinted within six months of its release. Book 3 sales are still not fully known as it was only released in October, but they have already sold over half the print run, so that's positive! :D
Now I have decided to take a rest for a while and get around to doing some wargames. Its been a long break indeed. But I may do the fourth book toward the end of this year...unless I am having too much fun back wargaming again! :P And yes...I have been doing SOME naval wargaming, but for a more complete break I am now doing some WW2 land as well. Plus sorting out my armies after they have been ravaged by my far too numerous grandchildren for the past three years. :?

The above links will take those interested to the three books so far.
