Cardinal,

Leave my Persians out of it. They are not yet fit to take the field. I need another 17 bases of horde.

And you didn't name Brasidas who must be my favourite Spartan of all time.

I won't be drawn into a debate with you about your radically misguided views. :P

My other favourite Spartan is, of course, Richard Egan

actually Leuctra, Mantinea and the other one were all examples of the moral suprioty of the Thebans over the over blown moral and social decadence that the spartan were now become, the worst thing that could have ever happened to them was to win the Pelop War,a victory gaine d with Persian Backing....why else was Lysander and the Persian so so close..so the Athenia Empire was ready to be clubbed to death like the useless baby seal it had become but in turn the Saprtans agined the poisened chalic of Hegemony, as , I suppose did my good chums and all round good blokes, the Thebans, it took Alexander and Phillip to finish them off...and all this crap about the cavalry at Leuctra...the 300 were the cavalry...though they walked most of the tine

Cardinal,

You don't know what you are talking about. I didn't say the Hippies, It was the allied cavalry. But I do recall you tried unsuccessfully in Cafe Cozy to argue your misguided beliefs about the battle. :)

It is also a well known fact that the Thebans had to use their war rhinos and elephants to beat the Spartans...wait, that movie hasn't been made yet.

Mind you, speaking of Elephants, I did see an article by a Sydney Tafe teacher infering that Xerxes may have had elephants in Greece. What a pile of pachyderm poo.

Those bloody hippies any way I don't care , the spartans lost and lots got killed when trampled by the Oliphaunts when Faramir ambushed them in the vale of Tempe , just past St Peters station near the Sydney park..and a good thing too, all those hippies freaked out and confused the Spartans with their wailing..

You are a well read young spartiate GWZ...I shall have to do some re-reading bout Leuctra now. So it wasn't the 50 deep lads in echelon that got em?
