Battle at Lud Gareth the Strong Spear V Algernon

Norman v Saxons another 45 photos uploaded on the main website for you to enjoy.

Battlefield at Lud, the Normans stroll onto the village

Saxon scouts checking out the village for Norman pigs.

Algernon leader of the Normans screams attack the Saxon dogs.

Gareth the Strong Spear in position with his men.

Village at Lud is taken by the Saxons
Image

Algernon sends a frontal attack on the village, while he sends cavalry to encircle the Saxons
Image

Algernon cavalry with support
Image

Saxons clash with the Norman archers but are hit in the rear by the cavalry
Image

The Saxons fall back from Lud and a pursue by the Normans slaughters the Saxons.

Gareth the Strong Spear swears revenge and hurls insults as he leaves the village.

Well well well, that is nice Malcolm, beautiful figures and scenery as we have come to expect. I must say I do like crusty Saxon types, real men only smelly :lol:

I thought that was just my teenage kids, they know how to setup playstation and connect them up to pc and get flashing lights ect and know all about programs on my computor....but they don't know anything about washing the pots and B.O.

Made me think...the standard bearer, the norman one..that´s a lovely looking flag and I looked to see if there were any on your blog...so here´s a suggestion, Norman and saxon flags (and possibly Viking ones as well) :D

The nice based figures belong to Paul aka Grimsby wargaming.blogspot.comI think they were purchased from ebay as figure bases if you ask him on his blog Im sure he will give you the details.Its a nice blog as well with main interst being War of the Spanish succession.........even more piccies from Grimsby club!!!!
