Crusades period - skirmish rules

Post by Arnhem_chris » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:58 pm

This is a period I have wanted to game for a LONG time, and I finally convinced myself to pick a big pile of figures, both Arab/Muslim & Crusader from Dragon Painting Service (on ebay as 'Herbertyuki'), and I have to say they are brilliantly done!!! ... so now I have some figures, I'm looking for some rules, so are there any recomendations out there for SKIRMISH rules for this period ... I don't want to play WAB or FOG just yet! :) though I have the feeling its just a matter of time before BW gets me into some 'battles' for this period!.

I would be interested in what gets recommended. I think skirmish for the period would be very nice to see.

We have been using the free "Age of Blood" rules for our Dark Ages games, and the mechanics for equipping and gaming with medieval figs would work very well.

You can find them here:
