I like the idea, but wish there was a 3D printer handy to take advantage of it.

I would like to get in 3d printing, but just no time to devote to learning about it all presently.

Surely if you had the files (.stl, .obj etc) you could use a service like 3D Hubs to get them printed for you. That's what I've done with my minis prototypes.

I would say depends on what you want to do with it. Personal or supplying. Hasnt floated my boat yet but coming close with some of the stuff coming out.
