Pulp "Armoured Jalopy" - Update Finished!

Post by Captain Darling » Fri Sep 09, 2016 7:02 pm

I am going to be involved in some play testing of the pulp car fighting Mad Maximilian rules soon so I'm gonna need a 'ride'. Time for some scratch building!

Here's a WIP picture of my 1930's Rolls Royce A/C, Bolton Paul Defiant & Pick Up Truck inspired sort of vehicle!

More pictures and details of the build are on the TSOG blog...

Cheers!

Okay the body shop has finished its work!

I just need to mount the two turret guns, the forward firing fixed MGs and get some wheels on (they are in Australia Posts hands at the moment which could be a concern with the first game a week away)...

The pictured MGs are from TOBSEN77

Thanks Nevermore!

Almost there now, the jalopy is all tooled up just waiting on the wheels!

It features two fixed front MGs belt fed from drums secured in the front engine bay and twin 20mm quick fire guns in the turret (but for play testing the rules they can be MGs or whatever)...sorry for the blurry picture it was taken in pretty bad light!

Hey Nevermore,

I use metal headed sewing pins for my rivets. Here's a couple of pictures from one of my Landships showing my 'pin' rivet technique from the outside and inside. I pre drill a hole where the rivet goes put a drop of supaglue on the pin shaft and slide it into place (cleaning off any excess supaglue straight away). If its an enclosed section like the turret of the Pulp Jalopy I don't trim the pin shafts but for the Landship example I did to allow room for wheels...

Hey Nevermore!

I look forward to seeing your rivet work, I've found this way has given me consistent rivets on all my projects, takes a little longer but is foolproof. :D
