Helping Children in Wheel Chairs

To discuss everything and anything that you do not want lost in the smokey, beer swilling haze of the Public Bar. Comedy, Music, Books, Videos............anything (civilised) really.

Helping Children in Wheel Chairs

Post by Tyberius » Thu Dec 03, 2015 9:38 pm

The John Maclean Foundation have a Kids & Big Kids 4 Kids Challenge where you commit to swim 3.8km, cycle 180km and run 42.2km for children who need wheel chairs over a 4 or 8 or 12 week period (226km in total)

My youngest son finish 251km over 12 weeks and has raised so far $1,250 Australia Dollars for children in wheel chairs.

The school team (7 students from 12 to 15 years old and 3 parents) have completed all up 2,371km and have raised 4,600 in total so far.

The commitment, the time and effort to do the swim, cycle and run showed a real and meaningful commitment by the kids

As a Father i did it to encourage my son although I walked I did not run. I found it very hard, I am not a fit man.

If anyone would like to make a small donation to children who need wheel chairs please donate.
