didn't take you long..good start, good start, for me Sunset Boulevard, On the Waterfront Apocalyspe Now, Blow Up, Easy Rider, Taxi Driver,The Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy , Barry Lyndon, Dr Strangelove, Dick Lester's 3 Musketeers, Hard Days Night, 2001, and lately, though god knows ,why I have been watching...yet again Band of Brothers on Pay TV, even though I have the DVD, just so convenient, as for other TV I am total crap..and too embarressed to mention anything other than Dr Who, Torchwood, SG1 Atlantis , though it is getting silly..

No matter how "cheesy" it might get, I still love Dr Who... not happy about Tennant leaving so soon though :(

I agree with SG1 Atlantis getting silly.

Dr Strangelove was either on last night, or on tonight on ABC1.

Zulu, Zulu Dawn, Undefeated - all Zulu movies of course!

300 Spartans

Maneater of Kumaon - about a maneating tiger in the Himalayan foothills. Absolutely crap movie so bad that it is good. The bad thing is that it is based upon my favourite author, Jim Corbett, whose books dealt with life in India in the late 19th early 20th century with a focus onhis experiences hunting maneaters. In addition to my Weerewolf collection, my library has a large amount of maneating tiger/ leopard books. Kenneth Anderson, Jim Corbett and others are a great read. :D :D :D :D

Not only Indians, but Africans as well and the occasional European.

Just finished 2 good books on the theory that the particular lions in that region are descendants of cave lions. I affirms and 1 debunks the theory. I side with the thought that they arent although skull measurements indicate that they may be a seperate sub species of lion. They grow generally larger and have spase or non existant manes.

One can only hope to be so honoured :D

Just finished a book called Death In Eden, about refugees travelling into South Africa through Kruger National Park. I remembered the tips given about how to avoid being eaten by the lions. Estimates of 75,000 refugees eaten in the space of about 10 years if I recall correctly!

I also like Underworld and Underworld Evolution. Nothing to do with Kate Beckinsale in PVC :D Looking forward to the new movie in the series in a few days.

Actually, one of my all time favourite movies is The Best Years of our Lives.

Set and filmed just after WW2 it shows how vets and others in the US adjusted to life afterthe war. There is a great scene where a discharged airman, now working in an ice cream parlour, goes out to the middle of the desert where the bombers are now stored. The scene starts with him in the nose and as the camera widens the scene the number of planes sitting in the area is mindblowing. All real, no special effects.....
