Alessandro Barbero's "The Battle"

Post by starkadder » Tue Jul 08, 2008 1:22 pm

subtitle: A New History of the Battle of Waterloo
Atlantic Books, London, 2005

Has anyone read this book? I think that it's actually quite wonderful. Squeezing a bit of extra juice from such a worked-over subject.

And available on bargain bin tables at Dymocks for around $10.

I recommend it.

Yep. Read it and enjoyed it. Good to read about a fight between Germans, British and Frenchmen written by an Italian.
