Scarborough Wargames Club presents..

For your delight, delictation and enjoyment..

A WARGAMING WEEKEND, 26th-28th September 2008

At The Village Hall, Wilson's Lane, East Ayton, Scarborough, North Yorks.

The Game..The Battle of the Pyrenees, 25 July 1813.

..Played using General de Brigade Rules..

..Using around 4,000 Old Glory 28mm Figures..a 24ftx12ft plus table.. TSS Terrain.

..For only £50 per person..including Buffet Lunch..

(plus accomodation,available locally in a public house or hotels)..

Arrive Friday evening, (or Saturday morning) and sample local food and beer .

Gaming starts Saturday morning, til late as whenever on Sunday..

looking forward to that going to test drive the new camera and tripod...tripods make a huge difference when photgraphing games, found that out last year at Moab...it was phantom agent who got me onto it...I

it is perfectlt acceptable word in Australia, now in the land of Yorky I camn imagine it might stir the emotions..Cricket against the South Africans looks like it will be good...Freddie might be back...

Good luck with your game. I imagine that it will be as splendid as your Salamanca game.

We are doing a similar SYW game in the Chicago area on October 11th, but this year we are reducing the number of figures on the tables (also 24 by 12 with aisles between the tables) so that we have more maneuvering room.

:) Aye..there is such a thing as too much on the table. Tho with our 24x12, we move the boards as the game moves in whatever direction, like a 'rolling table'. I think last time we ended up playing on a 36x16..... :D Thankfully, its a big hall, though you do have to predict which way its going to go for the original set up. And hope for the best! Look forward to seeing your pics of the SYW game Fritz, the last I saw were good.
