Hi all,

Please check out the link to last night's game - a very unfortunate (yet timely for the Brits) couple of blunders by the French prevented us from getting rolled and turned it into a enjoyable swinging challenge of a battle!

cheers

Good looking game, a close up of the figures would have been nice. What Rules did you use?

Cheers Capt.Darling,

Turned out good fun despite my hasty deployment and tactical blunder - I forgot my Camera for the close ups - too busy packing all the terrain, board and minis :)

Will try get some close action shots next time (oh, and deploy more sensibly too :P )

cheers,

Tas.

Hey Tas look forward to more AARs.

Pity about your loss, good way to learn I’ve been there (many times) before...

What rules did you use?

Cheers

Sorry, missed that bit about the rules  we use Blackpowder with a few tweaks - namely with no saves and double stamina (with the hail caesar break test chart) to speed up the carnage and take out the jammy bit of luck with saves (helps as I can't make them anyway).

The loss does not bother me! We learn from them :D We made a good battle out of my deployment blunder regardless and as we chose to withdraw there was no conclusive result with the battle so we called it a draw at nightfall/kickout time (we'd only lost one brigade and had dented the french enough to make our escape... just :P ) :D
