Rather than hijack nevemore's thread, I decided to discuss the river sections I am making for my wargame area.
This is still very much a work in progress, as I need to work on the river bank side of the boards, and then paint and flock them, but the basic idea is that I have cut some MDF boards in to various widths.
I place a blue cloth over the gaming area and them place the boards on top of the cloth.
As each board is of a different width, I can change the size of the river to a large creek, to a wide river, or a shore line.
I decided to try this method of making rivers as I was never happy with the rivers and the river banks being higher than the playing area. I have always wanted rivers to be lower than the playing area so it looks more like a river.
The only problem so far with my concept is that the sections are more or less straight. I wold have to get some better tools or someone to cut new ones for me if I wanted bends or curves.

Not yet as I have been doing other projects. I need to buy a lot of flock to go over the boards before I attempt any more work on it.
