shooters terrain

Post by shooter » Tue Dec 25, 2012 12:54 am

Hi all I visit often but i am not a big poster , I will put photos here of my terrain. While i do buy some pieces i also build a lot my self and although sometimes the terrain is a little off it is what it is. Here is some photos of a bocage table that i am currently working on, (have been for about 5 yrs, lack of motivation is a key factor) i play in 15mm but they also work well for 28mm bolt action. The road system is a new addition for me as everything i did up to this stage was 6 to 8 inches long and single pieces. The roads add another dimension.

Had a chance to do some work on my terrain today and managed to work on some of the black pieces from the photos above. I managed to paint the bases and the undergrowth and also make 6 gates as well, and have started to add the flock.

Those hedgerows are great. Are they old pan scrubbers?

The individual pieces are made with scourers shaped over 25mm Leading edge Balsa (used for making R/C aircraft) while the last lot pictured are industrial scourers i brought from Bunnings (2 yrs ago) although i went and looked for them again on the weekend but they did not have them, they had narrower ones.

They are very effective. What type of flock do you add to them?

I am using Woodlands scenics clump foilage, i am using the light, medium and dark greens. I have noticed that the road sections are showing to much uniformity and will change them a bit to make them a little more irregular.
