Moderating may be too strong a term.

I am actually serious about this thing, by the way.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Well Biggles, I certainly am. I apologise to Starkadder if he has taken offence at any of my posts. I may be wayward in posting, but I certainly don't think you are squeeky clean on this either.

well I never actually said I was , but I am sure having a lot of fun..a vignette of the nervous Aide on his beautiful Arab as a very angry Marshal Ney demands yet another horse..from the Emperor, who turns to the aide and commands ,"Decendez"
is that contrite enough? 2 horses 1 Emperor , a marshal and a captain..is that enough?

No offence taken my dears. I would be the last to object to a thread hijack although I would like some discussion on the idea every now and then!

We shall now resume to the program;

I would like to see Hadrian astride Borysthenes 'over the mounds of Tuscany...like the wind,after the boars of Hungary.'Of course Wellington and Copenhagen would be nice 'a horse of independant nature,I do however cherish him.'Unlike Napoleon who left Marengo to die of his wounds,ended up having a happier end than his owner.

I take it Boryshenes is a horse..with Hadrian it can all be ever so so..
and perhaps that prize nong Ponsonby being picked off by Line lancers(not Poles as featured in the film) because he didin't want to ride his best horse in battle and settled for a hack...
