they are pretty big...you don't have to put the Raventhorpe one together which is a great help as well, I never liked the very fiddly SHQ carrier with all the bits that fall off with handling..if they have't escaped the bag before you open it.. Fair enough. There will be some more slight shrinkage ...

Well it would be personal choice for the Carriers. I would rate Raventhorpe as too big, they suit Valiant, but the Australians are not that big!

I am not aware of any Australian pattern Carriers around, so Brit ones will have to suffice. :)

No worries with that! :)

I am still unsure about the 2" mortar thing and the Boyes. Seems too little having only one in HQ.I think the Carrier Platoon would have them anyway. Or the Carrier Platoon was used to Tpt the Support Company and as such did not have them at all??

As mentioned, i think the SHQ Carriers would fit in well with these guys. I am about to order some from SHQ, so if you would like to tag any on, please let me know. :) Carrier options are: Lloyd Carrier (1940+) Universal Carrier (1941+) Carrier 3 " Mortar Carrier MMG (Vickers) I suppose Frontline Ca...

I think there would be more than 1 x 2" and 1 Boyes per Battalion. They were issued to platoon level so 1 each per company seems appropriate.

So you are saying to add a Carrier Platoon as well? That would be 1 x Carrier, 1 x 2" Mortar, 1 x Boyes + 2 Figures????

Found it! :D (Tobruk) BASIC ORGANISATION OF AN INFANTRY BATTALION. This was commanded by a Lt. Colonel. It comprised a HQ company and four Infantry companies, each commanded by a Captain although the HQ Coy was often commanded by a Major. At full war strength a Battalion was of 36 officers and 812 o...

Cardinal Biggles wrote:an RF sized battalion for me..at least...now to find appropriate vehicles
I actually think SHQ vehicles would mix well. They are actually very generous in size as with their guns. I have seen them with AB and Fantassin miniatures and they look great together. :)

I will be there though with the Fantassin Australians. These will mix well with BattleScape Miniatures and you may even find the heads interchangeable if you wish to mix them up even more!

The SHQ Australians are very small. I am not sure what they would mix with aside from other SHQ.

What figure ranges would you like to see?

Hello All, well as you know i am starting to take the plunge into 20mm WWII figure manufacturing. With the Australians ready for their first big outing at CanCon, some attention is already being paid to the next set(s). My main area of interest for figures lies with the Mediterranean. I feel that th...
