Re: 1814 skirmish campaign

The map is rather hard to read the detail on the image above, and I have a small laminated A4 copy for marking that is just as hard to read. For the players I have a large map printed out to make it easy on the eyes. This is a map from a web site indicating the actions of the actual 1814 campaign: h...

Re: Mead?

I gave some honey to a 'mate' to make some mead years ago, with the understanding I would get some mead in return (I have bee hives on my property to put that in to context).

The bugger took the honey and I never saw him again.

1814 skirmish campaign

One of my projects for 2017 is to play a Napoleonic skirmish campaign using AB Figures I have purchased from Eureka Miniatures. The campaign is set in 1814 and I am using the maps I downloaded from the murat.ca web site. At the moment it looks like the web site is not working, so I was lucky to get ...

Re: 1812 Austrian vs Russian Skirmish - Song of Drums & Shakos Rules

great to see an Napoleonic skirmish game - there should be more of them.

I tried "Songs of Drums & shakos" but it didn't really seem to work for me.

I have a copy of "Chosen Man" and will probably use it for ideas rather than a set of rules.

Not a lot of the first Anglo-boer war is seen, and I didn't realise the Boers had flags/banners, which is really interesting.

Re: Greys for Balaclava

Cool looking figures! Nice painting! Hey Dropbear, you could use Smooth and Rifled or Song of Drums and Shakos for a Crimean skirmish.. I think the latter is free on the net now I love 'em just played a Napoleonic game Monday night using them... I have actually been having a lot of fun playing Napo...

Re: Greys for Balaclava

They have come up a treat. 8) I am greatly interested in the Crimean war - I have a few of the Eureka 18mm figures, but as the range isn't complete, I never really did much with my small collection. Having successfully played a Napoleonic skirmish game with up to 14 figures per side, seeing this is ...

Re: Plans For 2017?

My plans involve more gaming than I have done over the last two years, stick to one set of rules that can be used for any skirmish game and wait with much anticipation for the "A Right Bloody Mess" 1930's Australian civil war sourcebook to be released. Game wise I intend to play a Napoleonic skirmis...
