Bushrangers - "Dead Man's Hand Down Under"

I've painted some Bushrangers- 28mm "Dead Man's Hand Down Under" Range from Great Escape Games. The hairy looking fellow, (2nd from left in first photo), puts me in mind of the infamous "Mad Dan"or "Mad Dog" Morgan : http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/morgan-daniel-dan-13109 http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T...

Re: USMC Force Recon

Thanks, very kind of you all.

Did you notice I gave them the wrong uniform? Apparently this type of grey digital is Army issue & not Marines.
The bloke I painted 'em for asked for the grey digital though, so he's happy :D

USMC Force Recon

I was going to post some pictures of some bushrangers next, but I just finished these and wanted to post them up. Thanks to some kind gents on The Guild I was able to get an idea of how to paint a representation of Grey Digital Camo in 28mm. The figures are 28mm Force Recon from Eureka Miniatures: h...

State Troopers - On the trail of the bushrangers

Here are the State Troopers I mentioned in my previous post, on the trail of the bushrangers. The aboriginal tracker lost the barrel off his gun, so I decided it must be a sawn-off shotgun. My third post in this series will be of a motley gang of bushrangers - including someone who I think mu...

Re: The Kelly Gang

Thanks fellas.

Yes some rifles would have been good in the mix.
Perhaps the sculptor read about Ned making his last stand with just a revolver, and thought it was all the gang had?

The Kelly Gang

I recently painted up a a bunch of "Dead Man's Hand Down Under" miniatures- 28mm from Great Escape Games. First up is the Kelly Gang - I don't know which one is meant to be Ned, perhaps someone can spot the difference in his armour or something? Although they are all dressed in a similar fashion, I ...

Looking for plastic Eye-Dropper bottles

Anyone know a good cheap source of 20ml plastic eye-dropper bottles - like the kind used by Secret Weapon Washes or Vallejo? I know Tabletop Empires has the empty Reaper ones, but they are 15ml and I want to be able to transfer the 18ml Coat d' Arms and P3 pots into them. I'm a bit wary of ordering ...

British for A'stan & Middle East

More 28mm Moderns, which I've painted in my version of a British desert cam. Some of you may notice that not all the sculpts were originally of Brits, & there's a mix of figures from Empress and Eureka I believe. I'm pleased with how these turned out, there's actually more work in these than first a...

WWI French

First World War French infantry - 28mm from Scarab Miniatures. These are part of a large WWI French project that I will be tackling over time. These figures were fun to paint, nice chunky sculpts with plenty of raised detail. I'm quite happy with how the "Horizon Blue" of the French uniforms turned ...
