Re: Cornwall

In the circumstances, the shaky hands are understandable.

I believe the losses in killed, wounded and off-table routers to be 42 Royalist and 86 Parliamentarian plus a gun. This is my estimate only, not the official tally.

Re: Edgehill.

Yes, very true, "losses" includes those who go home and dont return to the colours until the next round of impressments. For them, not so much "bloody" as "bloody annoying" for their commanders.

Thanks for the photos and the game, Chrism. The Swedes, however, shall return! [after their commander has read the rule book this time]

I also have a regt of the Pink Fusiliers painted for me by the Cardinal- they are my favourites, but not, sadly,Old Fritz`s, who said something about them along the lines of ,'they are hardly human'.

Re: Anzac Day

Went to Iron Fest in Lithgow. Saw dark ages re-enactors bashing each other over the head, jousting knights, bikie re-enactors (must`ve been re-enactors seeing as the real ones are banned), and Napoleonic re-enactors; Black Watch, 73rd Foot, 95th Rifles, Brunswick Leib Battalion, Royal Artillery, Fre...

Re: French and Indian War

Yes, I like that. An 8 figure base would be a good representation of a company. I like the idea of skirmishers on individual bases, too.

Anyone out there got a rule set that copes with that sort of basing (battalions of 4-8 companies, say up to 64 figs)?

Re: French and Indian War

Yes, well Might and Reason is a brigade level game where one 'unit' represents 4 battalions. That would make F&I War battles pretty small. Also, not sure it would give the right feel to the irregular troop types because they look just the same as the regulars on their standard sized bases. Nearl...
