Re: I'm leaving Aus!

Hi Chris - Sorry to hear your health has been poor again and devastated to hear you will be leaving Aus.

It was a pleasure and a priviledge to at least get a couple of games in with you at the Hall of Heroes...

All the very best mate!

P.S. Have a pint of Bitter for me!

Yes, agreed, very nice especially the ticking culottes!

Are these the new French Reinforcement packs or the standard French figures from FR?

First Light at Lutzen - Black Powder AAR

Dear All, On Thursday Doug and I played out a Lutzen scenario to get a feel for how a large scale anniversary game might go - actually it was a pretty exciting game! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-loLYNNtXcBk/UQsDRwHarvI/AAAAAAAAA5Q/GsfpDbDNPI0/s640/P1310066.JPG BATREP here http://sparkerswargames.blogsp...

Re: Napoleonic 28mm game Austrians v French

Yes you are right of course, its not necessarily that the French were wedded to attacking in column, it was there preferred option against weak resistance but as they grew to respect British and Portuguese firepower they apparently had every intention of deploying into line to attack, but were foile...

Re: Napoleonic 28mm game Austrians v French

Yes great looking game! Ok the mamalukes got a good battering but besides that it was a french victory, rules are BP but i feel the rules dont work very well for this period, maybe thats why they are bringing out a BP Napoleonic rules out soon, because they way the french smash through the british l...

Thanks for that link: But we were discussing Cold War again recently. That'll do for me, I'm calling it in: 'PROBSUB' - Datum - Vic. 2014 - Based on: RCW ( Rumours, Conjecture & Wishful thinking ) Wouldn't it be great to have a commercially successful set of viable Cold War armour based rules!

Re: Some thoughts on ambulance travel

Good to hear theres light at the end of the tunnel mate! Good advice from all of your mates here so far, for what its worth I will add that I had a heart attack earlier this year, not serious thanks to the great team at St Vincents's Sydney. But I have taken it as a wake up call, and as one hell of ...

It did indeed sneak up mate...I must organise a Spectacular for the 75th if any of us are still around! Given the lack of responses this year, I guess it'll just be me, a glass of malt, and a silent toast to The Gallant Dead..... "Now I have only a word more to say about the Desert Rats. They w...

Thanks mate - Yes I know it won't be for a while, and its not PSC, that was purely speculation on my part.... But can you expand on who hinted, and where? I mean, if it was Will Townsend talking at Salute, its worth thinking about...but if it was your pet moggy Whiskers in your backyard, not so much...

Re: Gettysburg 150th - A Call to Arms!

Well we duly met up at the Hall on Sunday and discussed progress. The main item was looking at the Orbats that Philip has painstakingly put together to see where the gaps are, fingers crossed we are about halfway to the 400 units we will need to field, with a lot of help from Craig in Canberra and M...

Hmm, interesting discussion so far, thanks gents. I was going to give this a pass, as I am happy with FOW for company level action in WW2. However the link with PSC is a mjor bonus for me, as I am a great fan of that company's products, and the thought of seamless transition to Postwar/Modern is ver...
