Re: KB Mission Milne Bay Chain of Command game

It should be Kristian Broders Mission. I didn't catch the autocorrect.
Sorry for that and thanks for the comments.

KB Mission Milne Bay Chain of Command game

I've been anticipating playing this game for awhile.  It was the reason I originally picked up 2 Ha Go tanks a couple of years ago.  It takes place on the north coast of Milne Bay in a coconut plantation around the Kristian Brothers Mission, the night of August 27, 1942. A unit of Australian infantr...

Re: 20mm Burma 44 game

The 14th Army Jump off Points weren't quite ready, so I went with the old Aussie ones. (Which are also getting redone btw0 A gaming friend is doing those for free so I am not complaining. The M3 Grant is from Milicast which seems to be the only ones that have a passable model for the CBI. I had to u...

20mm Burma 44 game

Greetings, I was Jonsin' to get in a game with some recently finished terrain and models that were made for Burma 44-45 scenarios for Chain of Command. I went with the Attack and Defend setup to allow me to use a troop of M3 Grants, a 47mm ATG and the scenery. Brian and I were the Brits coming in wi...

Game 7 Malaya 42 campaign

Greetings, Game 7 in the ongoing Malaya 42 campaign was a Delaying scenario. It should have been a Flank Attack but I got confused on the course of the ladder. William T was back as the Aussie player and John F took over the Japanese. The returning Aussies were down to 17 men and the Japanese platoo...

Game 6 in the 20mm Malaya 42 campaign

Another 20mm CoC game that had the slowly dwindling platoon of Archie Cobb's Aussies trying to hold off the Japanese. William was back as the Digger CO with just 19 men left in the platoon and Matt was the full strength Japanese platoon. Same table as last game except we had a burned out patch of ju...

Re: Malaya 42 20mm campaign game-5

Exactly. Historically if we go longer than 8 games the Aussies have done better. The campaign is designed for 6 scenarios in a prescribed order. The Japanese have to win or make the Aussies withdraw form each or the scenario is played again with the same Aussie platoon in place with losses and a new...

Re: Malaya 42 20mm campaign game-5

I really don't know how long the campaign will last. It is from the TFL Xmas special and is suppose to run til the Japanese break through. The Aussies have very limited replacement ability while the Japanese can replace their units every game, so its pretty inevitable that a limit of endurance will ...

Malaya 42 20mm campaign game-5

Another Attack and Defend scenario. This time with a rubber plantation With the guys up from Florida I decided that this would be a nice 5 person game. William T had the ongoing Aussie platoon of Archie Cobb. Both Aussie platoons had been reduced: Cobb's original one was down to 23 men and the 'new'...

Re: Malaya 42 20mm campaign game-4

When you click on the link to the Flickr set you can scroll through the AAR. each pic has a description under it. I think most of your questions will be answered CoC is a different system for sure. Dice activated units and 18" is short range. Morale is affected by 'bad things happening' and cumulati...

Malaya 42 20mm campaign game-4

William and I continued the Malaya 42 Chain of Command campaign from the latest TooFatlardies' Xmas special. Game 4 was Scenario 3 -Attack on the Australian defense line. I made the mistake of getting fixated on overrunning the Australian right when I should have just gone through the trees and hit ...

Action along the Buin Road 20mm Chain of Command

I am planning on running a 5 person CoC game down in Orlando for RECON at the end of the month so did a playtest last weekend. It is a 'delaying action' scenario with 2 Aussie platoons and a Matilda troop (3 players) against a mobile Japanese platoon and a static support group. Action takes place in...

20mm Kokoda Track game

Being a Yank, I generally don't post my games here , but this one seemed appropriate: This was a 20mm Chain of Command game played at Gigabites Café in Marietta, GA November 2015 It represents the stand of E Co 39th CMF Btn along the Kokoda track August 27, 1942. against the 1st company, 5th Sasebo ...

Chain of Command 20mm AIF and Japanese SW Pacific

I'm a Yank playing these games on the far side of North America, but I seem to have gotten hooked on playing the Toofatlardies' Chain of Command games with 20mm Australians. I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions regarding the games. As a long time lurker to this forum I have seen som...

Bridge at Oivi

Greetings, I plan of doing this little action as a Chain of Command game and have no idea what the bridge should look like. The terrain seems relatively flat and the bridge must have been of sufficient size to make the attack worthwhile. I've seen piccies of other Papua bridges that look like some t...

Re: Introduction

Greetings, I'm afraid that I am in the States-outside of Atlanta, Georgia actually, so doubt if I'll get a chance to game with many there. But my most recent project is running some 20mm SW Pacific games using the Toofatlardies' Chain of Command rules. I was hoping some folks down there might point ...
