Re: Chain of Command Trial Game

Hey Sonntag this is what a full game would look like we just put a time limit on it. We like these rules and want to ensure we keep them in our schedule as often as we can, one guy want to have a Barbarossa campaign... There is an option for multiple platoon CoC games but we’ll stick with the normal...

Little Wars Melbourne 2019

Hi All!

So LIttle Wars Melbourne 2019 has come and gone.

I believe there were over 20 games and a dozen vendors (plus bring and buy).

Did anyone go? Any pictures to share and stories to tell?

This year there will be a Little Wars here in Adelaide again I’m looking forward to that!

Cheers!

Another 1810 Russo-Turkish Balkans Skirmish AAR

This fortnight we played another Napoleonic Song of Drums and Shakos game with Russians and Ottomans. The Ottomans were on the attack using a scenario called 'Reinforcements'. Last time the Russians were given a bloody nose by the Bashi Bazouks in the Convoy Escort Scenario. This time Russians were ...

1/56 AGN Miniatures Sdkfz 10/4

I actually picked this Sdkfz 10/4 model up quite a while ago when War Time Miniatures (not trading at the moment I found out recently visiting their site to look at the 1/56 WW II Aussies!) were clearing out a lot of their 1/56 stuff so it was 'at the right price' i.e. really cheap. When I got my pa...

AAR 1810 Russo-Turkish Balkans Skirmish

We decided to play a Song of Drums and Shakos Napoleonic skirmish and decided to go exotic so headed to the Balkans. Russians vs Ottomans! We played the Supply Convoy Ambush scenario from the More Song of Drums and Shakos Rules. It all looked easy for the Russians but the wheels fell off during turn...

Welcome aboard ‘dead1’!

The boards pretty quiet but what does get posted is worth a look!

Re Battlegroup rules what scale are they, i.e. 1 figure or stand/vehicle equals how many real men/vehicles?

Cheers!

PTO WW II 1/72 Japanese Stuff

A mate wants to play some WW II PTO games with the USMC vs Japs in 1/72 scale so I volunteered to supply some Japanese forces as I still have from the 1970's three boxes of Airfix Japanese infantry and a Chi Ha tank! We'll also need some Jap ATG's, HMG's and Artillery but I don't have any of this st...

Chain of Command Trial Game

We played a trial game of Chain of Command on Monday night! We chose the patrol scenario and it was set in 1940. We had a time limit which would allow us time for coffee and rules discussion after. As we played each phase we went through the rules in detail until we became confident. The game ran sm...

A seriously good looking game! Lots of wonderful figures!

I won’t even try to get you to let me know how you handled this multi player with the decks 😀!

We’re there many in t(e crowd drawn to the spectacle of this game?

Well done to all of you!

Seriously dodgy when the non phasing side can only play one interrupt per game turn against an opponent, haha, anyway as long as you were okay with it!

Re: Longstreet Cancon 2019. Game 4. Battle of Mobile.

Hmmmm, that sounds dodgy we don’t play by the Sam’s Multi player rules but you should have a rule where only one interrupt can be played by non phasing players on any one player in a turn even if multiple players are in contact with said player. In my view you were short changed, but if that’s how t...

Re: Longstreet Cancon 2019. Game 4. Battle of Mobile.

Okay interesting battle looks great again due to good figures and setup! Lovely... With 2 on 2 how did you play the decks? Did you have a overall commander like suggested in the rules by Sam with limits on who plays interrupt cards or just play 2 side by side independent games and just total the bas...

Thanks! An FCM2C hmmm you’ll use a bit of plastic there. I bought a 1/56 resin FCM36 from Mad Bob Miniatures, the original was a print (the top print lines are all removed but you can see them in the cast underneath along the running gear. The FCM36 is the coolest ‘Art Deco’ tank design, pretty aver...

Thanks!

Are you using the minimum force sizes by year as well as following the card dates, if so things turn really nasty for the south in 1864, less cards and a smaller force!

You are on a roll with three victories well done!

Did you play the same person each game or were all the Yankee leaders pretty timid?

BTW I assume you’re using 40mm square bases?

Re: 2018 Christmas - Hobby Related Gifts

Very good Easy! Lucky man.

Looking at the mat and assuming a centimetre per square you’ve got some big vehicles there!

Does a print take much of the ‘product’?

Do you have a designs for any 1940 French tanks (I see an older FT 17 in the picture)?

Cheers

Again nice pictures Easy, I always seem to forget to take pictures myself half the time!

The Union 'hung back' so again no charges/offensive action from them? Poor show, Lincoln won't be happy :D !

Hmm the campaign segment isn't helping you, 2 units cautious already after 2 games not good!
